Biography:
Joanna Ganning joined the University of Utah in 2013 as an Assistant Professor of City & Metropolitan Planning. She has served as the Executive Director of the Metropolitan Research Center since July 2014. Her research focuses on urban and regional economic development planning, and sometimes interfaces with natural resource management. Joanna holds a PhD in Regional Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Role in iUTAH:
I am participating primarily in RFA3 as a social scientist. I am collaborating closely with Courtney Flint at Utah State University investigating questions of capacity, vulnerability, and water-related risks at the community level.
