iUTAH at USU's Day on the Quad

On Wednesday, August 27th, iUTAH EPSCoR team members attended Utah State University's Day on the Quad. This event was a valuable opportunity to connect with USU students, and share iUTAH messages. Throughout the course of the day, iUTAH team members reached over 100 students, sharing water sustainability issues and research, and iUTAH programs for undergraduate students. Many students expressed interest in applying for the 2015 iFellows Undergraduate Research Experience. iUTAH hopes to engage students on campuses statewide during similar events this year to advertise the iFellow program. My Jordan River

There is a new digital guide to the Jordan River Parkway, called My Jordan River. This application is designed to work equally well on a desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone and is intended to be an interactive guide to Utah's Jordan River Trail.  A wide range of local, state and federal governments are working along side community partners to preserve, restore, and protect the Jordan River corridor. My Jordan River invites the community to be part of the movement. Explore the Jordan River corridor and submit your own story, poem or experience.

iUTAH helps sponsor the Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Conference

iUTAH is one of the sponsor of the Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a conference being held at Salt Lake Community College on March 8, 2014 and at the Utah Valley University on March 22, 2014. This day long event for girls 6th through 10th grade will include hands-on activities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). At the conference, girls will get a chance to meet STEM role models and learn more about careers in those fields. The ultimate goal is to motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st Century challenges.
