Role in iUTAH:
Starting with iUTAH as an iFellows program allowed me to expand the skills I'd started building over the summer, particularly with techniques in molecular biology. I was able to start working on harder, longer-term projects and eventually became lab manager for the Aanderud Lab at BYU. Also worked the GAMUT project in the middle Provo River as a trainee, doing fieldwork and collaborating with other researchers.
