University Educators & Students

iUTAH’s mission is to explore how factors such as population growth, climatic variability, land use change, and human behavior affect the sustainability of our water resources. We do this by conducting innovative, interdisciplinary, and multi-institutional research on all aspects of Utah’s water system, both natural and human, as well as the linkages between them. iUTAH researchers, which include undergraduate students, graduate research assistants, postdoctoral associates, and faculty at all three major research universities and all primarily undergraduate institutions in the state, comprise an active and engaged group of people that reflect the growing diversity of our state, and who work together to secure a water future for our citizens. iUTAH supports a number of programs geared specifically towards supporting water-related research conducted by undergraduate students, whether at their home institutions or at Utah’s major research universities.
