Dr. Chinweike Eseonu

Dr. Eseonu is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Oregon State University and Lead Researcher on the Community Driven Technology Innovation and Investment (CDTII) program. He received his BASc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, his MSc in Engineering Management from the University of Minnesota – Duluth, and his PhD in Systems and Engineering Management from Texas Tech University. Dr. Eseonu’s interest in engaged engineering was reflected in his dissertation research in which he used engineering laws of heat and mass transfer to discuss policy diffusion. At Oregon State, Dr. Eseonu extended this work to extend the land grant mission to engineering and combat the culture of disengagement by translating the normal engineering design and technology commercialization process to focus on local communities.
