UU's GCSC seminar series - Andrew RichardsonThe Global Change and Sustainability Center Seminar Series at the U presents Andrew Richardson from Harvard University Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology speaking on “Climate change, phenology, and ecosystem processes: What we are learning from the PhenoCam network.” The GCSC seminars are open to all, especially students enrolled in Seminar course, SUST 6800 and take place from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the University of Utah, 210 ASB (Aline Skaggs Biology Bldg.)

SLC Film Screening of "Return Of The River"Salt Lake County Watershed Program is co-hosting the Utah debut, with Utah Film Center of “Return of the River”, followed by Q&A with co-director and writer Jessica Plumb. This film chronicles the largest dam removal project in the history of the United States, and the extraordinary effort to restore an ecosystem and set a river free. Showing will take place at the The City Library, on Tuesday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free, seating is first-come first-served.

10th Annual Salt Lake County Watershed SymposiumHosted by the Salt Lake County Watershed Planning and Restoration Program, this event brings together personnel from state, federal, tribal, and municipal governments; the private sector; the public; academia; environmental groups; and local watershed organizations. Free and open to all, the Symposium encourages a comprehensive review of the current state of our watershed, while creating a forum for sharing information among a broad array of stakeholders. Sessions are dedicated to bringing individuals from a wide range of backgrounds together, including science, engineering, business, public policy, education, and community groups.
