Climate Change and Health Symposium- Salt Lake County Health Department

Salt Lake County will be hosting its third annual Climate Change and Health Symposium on April 5-6th of this year. The purpose of this event is to present to the public and to an academic audience the facts about climate change and its relationship to health. We hope to draw in a diverse audience from the community and inspire them to leave thinking about how they can contribute to climate change adaptation. The symposium will be held April 25-26, 2018 at the Jordan Valley Conservation Garden Park, 8215 South 1300 West, West Jordan UT.

Utah Water Watch - Tier 1 Training Logan

UWW Tier 1 training will be held at Logan, USU Merrill-Cazier Library - 9:30am - 1:00pm. Learn the basics of water quality, simple skills to monitor a local lake or stream and help support the statewide monitoring network. Join us for a refresher or as a new volunteer. USU Ecology Center Seminar Series - Corinna Riginos

The USU Ecology Center Seminar Series presents Corinna Riginos, Adjunct Associate Professor, University of Wyoming. Speakers will give two seminars: Wednesday: 6:00pm in ENGR 106, followed by a reception; and Thursday: 4:00pm in ENGR 106, with refreshments at 3:30pm.

The Global Change and Sustainability Center Seminar Series at the U presents David Pellow, Department of Sociology, University of California, Santa Barbara, speaking on “Environmental Justice: Exploring and Advancing an Evolving Field of Scholarship and Politics.” The GCSC seminars are open to all, especially students enrolled in Seminar course, SUST 6800 and take place from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the University of Utah, 210 ASB (Aline Skaggs Biology Bldg.)
