iUTAH iFellows Program

The iUTAH Undergraduate Research Fellows (iFellows) Program provides an opportunity for undergraduate students from all Utah institutions of higher learning to gain first hand research experience working with researchers associated with the iUTAH project. iFellows participate in an 11-week paid summer research fellowship at either the University of Utah (UU), Utah State University (USU), or Brigham Young University (BYU).

Great Salt Lake Wetland Health Workshop

The Great Salt Lake Wetland Health Workshop takes place Tuesday, May 12, 9 am-3 pm at the University of Utah’s Layton Auditorium in the Meldrum Civil Engineering Building. The meetings features presentations by Dr. Leon Lamers, head of the Research Group in Aquatic Ecology and Environmental Biology at Radboud University in the Netherlands, and by state and university scientists who work on the Great Salt Lake. The objective of the workshop, co-organized by the Utah Division of Water Quality, is to help participants understand the interactions between geochemical factors, wetland plants, and wetland health.

A free screening of "Utah's Uncertain Water Future" a KUED/KUER collaboration will be held May 5, 2015, 7:00 pm at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, 20 South West Temple, Salt Lake City. Following the screening there will be a Q&A moderated by Judy Fahys.
