AWRA 2014 Spring Specialty Conference
The American Water Resource Association (AWRA) will hold its 2014 Spring Specialty Conference May 12–14 at Snowbird Resort in Utah. The theme of the conference is “GIS & Water Resources VIII - Data to Decisions!” Participants will explore the potential of new developments in geographic information systems to improve management of fresh water resources.

The Bear River Forum will feature the film DAMNATION on Thursday, April 17. This powerful film odyssey across America explores the sea change in our national attitude from pride in big dams as engineering wonders to the growing awareness that our own future is bound to the life and health of our rivers.

Photo Exhibit to Explore Watershed
The Bear River Watershed Council (BRWC) has issued a call for entries for its upcoming photo exhibit on the Bear River watershed. They are asking photographers to look for images that portray the Radiant beauty or Ravaged impacts of the watershed, and submit them for an April exhibit.
They hope to engage both amateur and professional photographers to take a close look at our local watershed—a place that sustains life—with a different “eye.” Not only to see the beauty, but also to look for impacts of human activities that may not be beneficial to the environment, the watershed, or human health.
The exhibit will be hung at the Thatcher-Young Mansion in Logan, Utah, from April 11 through Earth Day, April 22. There will be both an opening and closing reception. Prints will be accepted April 4, and will be juried by Utah State University assistant professor of photography Carsten Meier and professional fine art and nature photographer Howie Garber.

2014 Spring Runoff Conference
The Spring Runoff Conference is held annually on the Campus of Utah State University hosted by the USU Water Initiative. This year's conference is supported by the Utah Water Research Laboratory, the Utah State University Department of Natural Resources, the Utah State University Ecology Center, and iUTAH.
